Do Men And Women E Mail Differently?

Net Etiquette when e-mailing does not change if you are wearing a dress or a tie. Regardless of how men and women communicate differently, when e-mailing, proper sentence structure, a courteous closing, greetings, and correct spelling has nothing to do with whether you are male or female. When using e-mail, etiquette is taking the time to communicate with clarity and courtesy. Short, abbreviated and made up spelling that make it look like you never made it out of grade school do not display net etiquette.

Regardless of the tool used to e-mail, the same courtesies and principles apply as that of simple manners. One needs to be cognizant of using their blackberry, iphone's, etc. in such a way as to not inconvenience, waste other’s time, and with consideration of the person on the other side. By doing so e-mail will remain the valuable communication tool it is rather than a breeding ground for laziness and miscommunication. E-mails can show up as evidence in court, human resource offices and divorces so proper etiquette matters.
